Why Integrity in Leadership is Critical to Business Success
Every Monday my amazing co-moderator on Clubhouse and I riff about topics relating to leadership, business, intuition and so much more; these conversations are always powerful and yesterday’s conversation didn’t disappoint. We spoke about integrity in business and in leadership.
It’s a topic that is close to both of our hearts and it's no surprise that it's part of both our core values.
For me, it’s what keeps me congruent in the offers I create, the way I serve my clients, and how I show up in both my business and in life.
This is what I've learned about integrity;
It looks and feels different for everybody - you get to decide what it is for you as I do for me.
It goes hand in hand with authenticity and being congruent so that my words, actions, and deeds are in complete alignment with my values and beliefs.
It’s one of the qualities of human-centered leadership and therefore in my view, a must-have for all leaders.
It takes commitment - doing what you say you will do is not always easy but personally if I commit to something I'm 100% in. This means having really good boundaries in place and knowing how much energy I have for the things that sometimes seem like a good idea at first but end up being a lot more work than initially bargained for.
There can be no personal gain or agenda - if integrity is only 'done' as performative or because you think there's something to gain from it, maybe you're not being totally honest with yourself.
